TOWN BOARD MEETING
FEBRUARY 9, 2011
Being properly noticed, the monthly meeting of the Clam Falls town board was called to order by Supervisor Robert Carlson. All board members were present along with the treasurer, the clerk, and several members of the community
Minutes of the January town board meeting were read; Brad Olson motioned to approve; second Robert Carlson; carried.
The treasurer was given. There is $53,870.32 in the checking account, $1,052.83 in the tax collection account, and $146,398.26 in the savings account, for total available funds of $201,132.41. Checks are written through #9101. Robert Carlson motioned to approve; second Brad Olson; carried.
Perry Karl reported for the comprehensive land use committee. The committee will be working on a subdivision ordinance draft next month. A five acre minimum with a 200-foot travel corridor is being discussed. Jim Alt will assist in this endeavor.
Robert Carlson will work with Lee Cartier on a draft for a driveway and mailbox ordinance. Lee was not present for the road report. Perry Karl expressed concern over the right of way trimming. The Towns Association will be contacted in this regard. Lee Cartier will be schedules for MSHA.
Greg Anderson motioned that the supervisors receive a raise to $500 per quarter; second Brad Olson; carried. Brad Olson motioned that the chairman receive a raise to $1000 per quarter; second Robert Carlson; carried.
Greg Anderson motioned that interviews for the treasurer position be held beginning at 7 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, at the town hall; second Robert Carlson; carried. The clerk will contact applicants with appointment times.
Bills were paid and correspondence was handled.
Greg Anderson motioned to adjourn the meeting; second Brad Olson; carried.
