TOWN BOARD MEETING
MAY 11, 2011
Being properly noticed, the monthly meeting of the Clam Falls town board was called to order by Supervisor Robert Carlson. All board members were present along with the treasurer, the clerk, and 12 members of the community
Minutes of the April town board meeting were read; Brad Olson motioned to approve; second Robert Carlson; carried.
The treasurer report was given. There is $ 33,705.86 in the checking account, $96,042.99 in the tax collection account, and $146,562.56 in the savings account, for total available funds of $276,311.41. Checks are written through #9186. Robert Carlson motioned to approve; second Brad Olson; carried.
Perry Karl reported for the comprehensive land use committee that the annual open house will be held June 11 at the town hall. A mailing will be done to inform everyone of the event.
Road review has been rescheduled for May 31, 2011.
Lee Cartier reported that the gravel roads are still poor; 80th Street is closed. The permit from the DNR for bridge replacement has not yet been received. The county has no plans to crush gravel until 2012. Work on 85th Street will begin with the replacement of culverts. Lee will look into a ditch disk for the town.
Several residents were present to discuss conditions on 120th between 315th and Clam Falls Drive.
A letter from Bradley Ayers was read regarding the condition of a neighboring property.
A resident expressed concern regarding the potential use of Boone Rd as an ATV trail.
A resident expressed concern regarding garbage being buried in Lewis.
Bills were paid and correspondence was handled.
Greg Anderson motioned to adjourn the meeting; second Brad Olson; carried.
