PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING
NOVEMBER 10, 2010

Being properly noticed, the public budget hearing for the 2011 budget was called to order by Supervisor Robert Carlson. All board members were present, along with several members of the community. Questions were answered and discussion was held. Keith Schmidt motioned to adjourn the hearing; second Brad Olson; carried.

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 10, 2010

Being properly noticed, a special meeting of the Clam Falls town board to approve total highway expenditures for 2011 and to approve the 2010 town levy to be paid in 2011 was called to order by Chairman Greg Anderson. Greg Anderson motioned to approve total highway expenditures for 2011 and to approve the 2010 town levy to be paid in 2011 in the amount of $210,536.00; Second Robert Carlson; carried.

MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
NOVEMBER 10, 2010

Being properly noticed, the monthly meeting of the Clam Falls town board was called to order by Chairman Greg Anderson. All board members were present, along with several members of the community.

Minutes of the October board meeting were read; Brad Olson motioned to approve; second Robert Carlson; carried.

The treasurer’s report was given. There is $21,223.38 in the checking account; $146,200.50 in the savings account; and $1,071.73 in the tax account for total available funds of $168,496.61. Brad Olson motioned to approve; second Robert Carlson; carried.

There has no additional action on the Godfrey Lake Dam Emergency Action Plan.

Perry Karl reported for the Comprehensive Land Use Committee. Greg Anderson motioned that the use of committee and/or commission is defined as one and the same; second Robert Carlson; carried. Greg Anderson motioned that the committee be given authority to look into staying in or opting out of county zoning; second Robert Carlson; carried.

No additional action was taken on the employee handbook.

Lee Cartier gave the road report. Trees down as a result of winds have been removed. He has been graveling, patching, brushing, getting salt/sand, and preparing the equipment for winter. Graveling on 315th at the rate of $65 per hour was discussed. Lee will contact the county regarding gravel crushing.

Several members of the community were present to discuss using town roads for ATVs. They have met with the land use committee. They are currently in the planning stages and wish to be assured that the board has no strong objection. After discussion Greg Anderson motioned to table any action; second Brad Olson; carried.

Matt Olson was present with a bid of $8,000 for the old dump truck. Greg Anderson motioned to accept the bid; second Brad Olson; carried.

Greg Anderson motioned to approve an operator license for Dorrie Hinton; second Brad Olson; carried.

The clerk is to check with Rural Insurance regarding the town’s liability if ATVs are allowed to use town roads.

Bills were paid and correspondence was handled.

Robert Carlson motioned to adjourn; second Brad Olson; carried.
