PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING
November 13, 2013

Being properly noticed, the public budget hearing for the Town of Clam Falls was called to order by Chairman Greg Anderson. All board members were present, along with the treasurer, clerk, and several members of the community. The proposed budget was review by those attending. After discussion Greg Anderson motioned to adjourn the hearing; second Betty Knutson; carried.

SPECIAL TOWN ELECTOR MEETING
November 13, 2013

Being properly noticed, the special town elector meeting for the purpose of approving the 2014 levy was called to order by Chairman Greg Anderson. All board members were present, along with the treasurer, clerk, and several members of the community. Brad Olson motioned to approve the levy in the amount of $211,718.00; second Gloria Berg; carried. Greg Anderson motioned to adjourn the special meeting; second Robert Carlson; carried.

TOWN OF CLAM FALLS
MONTHLY BOARD MEETING
November 13, 2013

Being properly noticed, the monthly meeting of the Clam Falls town board was called to order by Chairman Greg Anderson. All board members were present, along with the treasurer, clerk, and several members of the community.

The board reported that no action was taken at the closed session which was held on October 9, 2013, for the purpose of discussing employee issues. Robert Carlson motioned to adjourn the closed session; second Brad Olson; carried.

Minutes of the October board meeting were read; Robert Carlson motioned to approve; second Brad Olson; carried.

The treasurer’s report was given. There is $116,934.56 in the savings account, $31,212.87 in the tax collection account; and a negative balance of $15,481.58 in the checking account for total available funds are $132,665.85. Checks are written through 9990. Brad Olson motioned to approve the treasurer’s report; second Robert Carlson; carried.

With regard to reclassification of Godfrey Lake Dam, Brad Olson stated that a letter must be written to Madison asking that the dam be reclassified as low hazard. He will bring the information to the December meeting.

A letter was received from the DNR with regard to McKenzie Trail. The clerk will mail the completed application, along with a check. The clerk is also to contact Gary Spanel to determine if there are additional requirements for Polk County Zoning.

Robert Carlson motioned to approve the 2014 budget for the town in the amount of ; second Brad Olson; carried.

Lee Cartier reported that installation of the new fuel tank is complete; state inspection is all that needs to be completed. The plow equipment has been readied, and there is enough salt/sand in the shed for now. Burnett County will be delivering gravel for shouldering on 65th St. Lee suggested that the town consider selling swing-away mailboxes; no action was taken.

Bills were paid and correspondence was handled.

The board adjourned to closed session to discuss employee issues.
