TOWN BOARD MEETING
SEPTEMBER 14, 2011

Being properly noticed, the monthly meeting of the Clam Falls town board was called to order by Supervisor Robert Carlson. All board members attended along with the treasurer, the clerk, and several members of the community

Minutes of the August town board meeting were read; Brad Olson motioned to approve; second Robert Carlson; carried.

The treasurer report was given. There is $49,972.68 in the checking account, $46,145.08 in the tax collection account, and $146,748.57 in the savings account, for total available funds of $242,688.33. Checks are written through #9302. Brad Olson motioned to approve; second Robert Carlson; carried.

Perry Karl reported for the Comprehensive Land Use Committee. Two new members are on board. The committee is working on zoning examples, using Garfield township as the model. The committee purchased a projector to allow the committee to review documents together.

The clerk will amend the ATV ordinance to include two roads that were unintentionally not included in the original ordinance. The roads are 340th Avenue to 115th Street and 115th Street north of Highway 35 to Johnson Road.

Lee Cartier reported that the bridge on 320th has been replaced and vegetation is coming well. Monarch plans to blacktop the road in early October. Most of 85th Street has been graveled and vegetation is coming there also. Two passes of mowing are complete on Clam Falls Drive and 90th Street. The 800-foot overlay on 65th Street is complete. Other work includes replacement of signs, patches on 80th Street, and attendance at the LRIP meeting. Robert Carlson motioned that center striping be done on 90th Street at a cost of $1,500; second Greg Anderson; carried. There was discussion of additional ditching on 80th Street.

The town will check into having a clean-up day next spring.

Robert Carlson motioned to patch 60th Street at a cost of $3,000; second Brad Olson; carried.

Greg Anderson motioned to pay Brad Olson $60 for rye seed to establish vegetation on 85th; second Robert Carlson; carried.

Bills were paid and correspondence was handled.

Greg Anderson motioned to adjourn the meeting; second Brad Olson; carried.
